Dr. José A. González is a specialist in Internal Medicine certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). His practice is based on the Direct Medical Care model, which means that patients receive care without intermediaries, with close, transparent, and personalized access.
Originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, Dr. González studied at the University of Guayaquil, where he completed his degree in General Medicine. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at BronxCare Health System (formerly Bronx-Lebanon Hospital) in the Bronx, New York, one of the busiest and highest-volume hospitals in the country, located in one of the most socioeconomically challenged communities in the United States. During his training, Dr. González was trained in the management of extremely complex patients and exposed to a wide spectrum of diseases, making him highly skilled in treating any medical condition.
Since 2019, he has worked as a hospitalist and also as a primary care physician in multiple hospital systems, providing comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of acute and chronic diseases.
